This virtual conference is a unique and powerful convening of professionals working in the fields of domestic violence, child abuse, sexual assault, and elder abuse. The Office on Violence Against Women will host two tracks (with six workshops per track) of the conference – one on “Effective Handling of Non-Fatal Strangulation Cases” and the other on “Expanding Family Justice and Multi-Agency Centers.” The Office for Victims of Crime will sponsor a track on “Working at the Intersections of Co-Occurring Trauma” focused on the impact of multiple types of trauma (polyvictimization) and the complex challenges of working with polyvictims.
