The FLITE Center (FLITE), a Broward County, Florida 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, proposes Eagles’ Landing to ensure safe, stable housing and holistic services for 20 young adult victims of human trafficking ages 18 to 30 years old in Broward County. Eagles’ Landing will integrate short-term housing rental and/or financial assistance with comprehensive supportive services to empower young adult victims of human trafficking. Eagles’ Landing, a victim-centered, empowerment and strengths-based, trauma-informed, culturally relevant, and survivor-driven program, will utilize evidence-supported interventions to provide services for young adult victims of human trafficking. The goal of Eagles’ Landing will be to provide safe, stable, permanent housing and appropriate supportive services to 20 unduplicated young adult victims of human trafficking (ages 18 to 30 years old) in Broward County, Florida who need housing as a result of trafficking annually, for a total of 60 unduplicated young adult victims over the 36 month grant period. Eagles’ Landing will accomplish this goal through achieving the following objectives: conduct outreach, training, and collaboration with local community partners and stakeholders to properly identify and enroll young adult victims of trafficking; provide housing short-term housing rental and/or financial assistance for young adult victims of human trafficking; offer supportive services, including case management, housing success coaching, life skills building, and peer survivor mentoring to coordinate victim-centered, trauma-informed, and survivor-directed care; improve victim and survivor outcomes associated with housing, economic, emotional, and community stability; and conduct a performance and program evaluation to measure and quantify processes and impact through data collection and analysis associated with stated Eagles’ Landing goals and objectives.
