Description of original award (Fiscal Year 2022, $800,000)

Family Crisis Center will enhance its existing human trafficking program and integrate rapid-rehousing scattered site transitional housing and services into the current program to benefit victims of human trafficking in Los Angeles County, California. The program will target its services to underserved groups, including BIPOC victims, monolingual Spanish Speaking victims, and victims with children. Primary project activities will include: 24-hour crisis hotlines and screening, access to 24-hour emergency shelter, transitional housing services, case management, service linkages, mental health and employment services, and aftercare services. The program will produce community and individual level benefits, including expanding racial equity, economic justice and financial advocacy for victims through a robust employment services focus, as well as improvement of the availability of victim-centered transitional housing, particularly for underserved populations.
