Legal Representation Project

New Jersey Coalition to End Domestic Violence’s (NJCEDV’s) Legal Representation Project ("LRP”) works with domestic violence advocates throughout the state to provide legal representation to the most marginalized survivors. LRP assists survivors unable to secure representation through other non-profits such as Legal Services of New Jersey, and those who face barriers including language access and financial hardship. The LRP engages local advocates to source trauma-informed attorneys for survivors, and then, when needed, covers the costs of the legal representation.  The legal representation provided includes family matters such as divorce and custody, housing, and appeals.
