The Mosaic Family Services (Mosaic) Services for Victims of Trafficking Program will serve trafficked persons uncovered in the North Texas region, which includes the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. Mosaic serves all victims of trafficking, including labor and sex trafficking, and domestic and foreign national victims. This project is targeted to meet the complex needs of refugee, immigrant, and Limited English Proficient trafficking victims. Mosaic’s highly multicultural, multilingual staff and culturally competent services greatly enhance its capacity to serve refugee and immigrant trafficking victims. Mosaic’s legal staff will provide comprehensive legal services for trafficking survivors, including client consultations to inform clients of their rights and responsibilities; in-depth intake and needs assessments to develop personalized service and safety plans for each client; preparation of immigration petitions based on clients’ victimization; and legal representation during divorce, child custody, child support, and protective orders hearings. All services are provided without fees. Through this program, Mosaic aims to enhance the quality and quantity of services available for all forms of trafficking victims by providing high quality, comprehensive, and trauma-informed legal services for victims of human trafficking; enhancing interagency collaboration; and coordinating a community response to trafficking victims.
