Description of original award (Fiscal Year 2023, $500,000)
Sanar Institute’s Reclaim Project will address the traumatic impact of IBSA through a combination of direct service and capacity building, training and education and will share the findings in order to advance the field and better serve IBSA survivors.
With this funding, Sanar intends to address the traumatic impact of IBSA through the following goals:
1) Develop a comprehensive trauma-specific program framework and Standards of Care (SoC) protocol that is informed by clinical data and lived experience and subject matter experts to guide stakeholders in serving survivors of IBSA.
2) Identify the availability of existing services of trauma-specific IBSA services nationally to build a network of IBSA service providing organizations to share resources among.
3) Increase awareness and understanding around IBSA victim identification among allied service professionals through training and education.
4) Increase the quantity and quality of IBSA Services nationally through the development and distribution of a report including the tools and content developed over the course of the project, including best practices guidelines for developing services for IBSA survivors.
These goals will be met through the following Reclaim Project Objectives across four project areas:
