IRC Tucson Services for Victims of Human Trafficking

The International Rescue Committee in Tucson, Arizona will expand and strengthen services for domestic and foreign victims of human trafficking in Pima, Cochise, and Santa Cruz counties. The project aims to equip trafficking survivors with the necessary tools for community integration, provide access to trauma-informed services, and enhance life skills and self-sufficiency. Furthermore, it strives to improve accuracy in identifying victims, establish a coordinated community response, implement response protocols, and enhance the ability to refer survivors to services. Activities will include tailoring direct services to the needs of trafficking victims, creating personalized service plans, offering trauma-informed support services to survivor households, and conducting training sessions for stakeholders. Additionally, the project will involve developing response protocols, leveraging existing task forces, facilitating service access, engaging in community efforts, evaluating program effectiveness, and gathering client feedback for improvement. Expected outcomes include improved access to care, enhanced knowledge, skills, and support for clients, empowerment to identify support systems and assess safety needs, and increased independence and self-sufficiency.
