Description of original award (Fiscal Year 2007, $700,000)
Through the "Multi-Disciplinary Responses to Crime Victims" program the Disabled Persons Protection Commission will identify innovative practices used by victims assistance, disability service, adult and child protective services, law enforcement, prosecution and other practitioner fields to identify and serve crime victims with disabilities, and to hold their offenders accountable through increased reporting. The Disabled Persons Protection commission will replicate their model program in four competitively selected areas across the country. ca/ncf
