Description of original award (Fiscal Year 2008, $87,328)
The purpose of this grant is to support a fellowship for Bethany Case under the OVC Victims of Crime Fellowship Program. Ms. Case will: 1) assist OVC program specialists with technical assistance for discretionary grants awarded by OVC with Victims of Crime Act (VOCA) funding that focus on sexual assault and child sexual victimization; 2) assist OVC staff in the development of training and technical assistance that focuses on victims of child abuse and neglect; 3) assist OJP/OVC staff through such activities as research and technical writing; 4) develop reports, speeches and articles at the request of OJP/OVC management to support their efforts to raise understanding and awareness of sexual assault and child abuse and neglect, and human trafficking;
5) assist OVC staff in the collection and analysis of performance measures and other programmatic information provided by grantees or sub-grantees; 6) at the request of OVC management, participate in internal and external stakeholder meetings, forums, and conferences for the purpose of providing information on OJP/OVC efforts to address sexual assault, child abuse and neglect and human trafficking; and 7) participate in professional development and training activities in consultation with OVC management. ca/ncf
