T&TA for Tribal Victim Assistance Grant Programs

The purpose of this project is to provide culturally appropriate victim training and technical assistance (T&TA) to American Indian and Alaska Native communities and affiliated organizations implementing Phase II Tribal Victims Assistance projects. The recipient will address project-related needs and achieve the broadest impact on expanding crime victim services in Indian Country. The work plan addresses: developing a plan for the delivery of T&TA; identifying and developing innovative training materials and reviewing tested strategies; identifying culturally appropriate model protocols and victims' rights codes; maintaining a web site to disseminate resources and information; developing assessment tools to measure the quality and effectiveness of delivered services; providing onsite T&TA to aid program implementation; and conducting advisory board and planning meetings to further program development. ca/ncf

The purpose of this project is to provide Phase III culturally appropriate crime victim-related training and technical assistance (TTA) to American Indian and Alaska Native communities and affiliated organizations implementing the Tribal Victim Assistance (TVA) Discretionary Grant Program. The recipient will address project-related needs and achieve the broadest impact on expanding crime victim services in Indian Country. The work plan addresses: developing a strategy for the delivery of TTA; identifying and developing innovative training materials; identifying culturally appropriate model strategies and protocols and victims' rights codes; maintaining a web site to disseminate resources and information; developing assessment tools to measure the quality and effectiveness of delivered services; providing onsite TTA to aid program implementation; conducting advisory board and planning meetings to further program development; and working with OVC to ensure TVA grantees achieve third- and final-year goals and objectives.
