To develop and implement a public education campaign that will increase awareness of legal rights and resources available to LGBTQ victims of domestic and teen dating violence.

The purpose of the OVC FY 09 Public Awareness and Outreach to Victims in Underserved Communities is to raise awareness of traditionally underserved populations about victims' rights as well as improve their knowledge about accessing local services available to crime victims. The "LGBTQ Youth Outreach Campaign" aims to provide the traditionally underserved population of sexual minority youth ages 14 to 24 with information about their legal rights and responsibilities regarding domestic and dating violence and resources for help. ca/ncf
