OVC FY 2020 Enhancing Community Responses to America's Addiction Crisis: Serving Our Youngest Crime Victims; Purpose Area 2: TTA Provider

OVC’s mission is to enhance the nation’s capacity to assist crime victims and provide leadership in changing policies and practices to promote justice and healing for all victims of crime. OVC achieves this mission, in part, by administering discretionary award programs supported by the federal Crime Victims Fund to develop innovative training and technical assistance, and to provide direct services to improve the overall quality of victim assistance. The purpose of this solicitation is to address an urgent gap in crime victim services related to America’s Drug Crisis to support direct services to children and youth who are crime victims as a result of the nation’s addiction crisis.

This award made to JBS International, Inc. is funded under OVC FY2020 Enhancing Community Responses to America’s Addiction Crisis: Serving Our Youngest Crime Victims where JBS will leverage its regionally based and multidisciplinary expert staff and partners, proven adaptable strategies, expert use and development of technology, and specialized knowledge and tools for rural and tribal communities to support a diverse set of grantees by 1) starting strong, 2) sustaining collaborative partnerships with grantees through coaching, 3) delivering essential universal TTA, 4) executing customized TTA plans that meet grantees where they are, and 5) leveraging JBS’s multidisciplinary Impact Centers to maximize innovation and dissemination, JBS will position FY 2020 grantees to successfully implement proposed programs and meet the needs of the youngest victims of the addiction crisis. These strategies will guide the delivery of TTA on critical topics using a range of methods including videoconference coaching, webinars, site visits, tool and template development and dissemination, resource identification, and learning collaboratives to advance individualized and peer-to-peer engagement, cross-sharing of information, and model practice.
