OVC FY 2022 Jabara-Heyer NO HATE Act State-Run Hate Crime Reporting Hotlines

The primary goal of this program is to provide grants for state agencies—

• to establish and run state-run hate crime reporting hotlines to facilitate significantly increased reporting of hate crimes data, and
• to ensure that victims and witnesses are connected to law enforcement and local support services as needed.

The goal is to ensure that hate crimes do not go unreported and victims have access to needed services.

OVC anticipates making up to two awards of up to $1.125 million each for a 36-month period of performance, to begin on March 1, 2023. Project extensions may be granted for up to a 60-month period of performance.
