This document provides the contents of the program for Strategies and Training to Advance Greater Elder Safety (STAGES), pilot program. The program’s learning objectives include: to recognize financial exploitation against older adults, other forms of abuse that may co-occur, and how age can increase vulnerability; to collaborate within the court and with community partners to enhance practices and protocols to provide fair, efficient, accessible services for older adults; to identify and define legal, medical, and financial instruments and terminology that may arise in cases involving financial exploitation and elder abuse; and
to assess opportunities for improvement in court practices and policies and to commence planning to meet the needs of older adults who have experienced financial exploitation and abuse.
