With funding through the OVC 2024 Integrated Services for Minor Victims of Human Trafficking, RUBY'S PLACE located in Castro Valley, California proposes a project titled “Ruby's Place Youth Human Trafficking Prevention Program”. The primary purpose is to provide a continuum of trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and gender-responsive services to ensure the safety, security, and healing of these victims and prevent their involvement with the justice system. The primary activities include case management, family reunification support, emotional support and mental health services, shelter/housing, legal assistance, and education/skill-building, provided in-house and through partners like WestCoast Children's Clinic, schools, and government agencies. The expected outcomes include 1) individualized services to meet trafficking victims' needs; 2) collaboration with partners for proper victim identification and service delivery; 3) establishment of community-based interventions to develop a continuum of care; 4) provision of essential victim-centered, survivor-led, culturally responsive emergency and long-term services; and 5) data collection for monitoring and evaluation. The geographic service area is California’s Bay area with a target audience of 150 male minor victims of human trafficking. There are no subrecipients for this award.
