"Vision 21: Victim Services Mobile App" project will create a mobile app to provide information, resources, systems navigation and service access for crime victims, service providers and community.

The purpose of this project is to increase survivor safety through technology by developing and launching a national mobile application (mobile app) that will help domestic violence, sexual assault, dating violence, and stalking survivors and victim service providers understand and identify technology misuse, learn how to use technology safely and privately, navigate the criminal justice system, and connect to critical survivor-centered resources and help. Users will be able to determine which technology is being misused to monitor or eavesdrop on the victim, learn safety strategies to mitigate the control and access available survivor-centered resources. Users and victim service providers will be able to discover what types of crimes the monitoring and harassment might fall under and what recourses are available. Victims will be able to articulate how they are being monitored, harassed, and stalked in order to report to the criminal justice system if they choose to do so. The mobile app will connect victims to resources including national hotlines, national legal resources, other national organizations, and state domestic violence and sexual assault coalitions for help and assistance. The National Network to End Domestic Violence is partnered with 3Advance to develop, refine, and launch the proposed app. Year two of this award will focus on the marketing plan, development of evaluation and assessment measures for continued revisions and updates to the app including software updates and updated technical requirements, a sustainability plan, and an updated release to app markets. nca/ncf
