OVC administers two Victims of Crime Act (VOCA) formula grant programs that support crime victim compensation and assistance—the cornerstone of support for victims throughout the Nation.

Formula Grant Allocations Archive

OVC awards annual Victims of Crime Act (VOCA) crime victim compensation and victim assistance formula grants. The amount of funds available for distribution for the formula grant program each year is dependent upon the total deposits into the Crime Victims Fund in the preceding Federal fiscal year. OVC administers the Crime Victims Fund, which was established by the Victims of Crime Act (VOCA) of 1984. The Fund is a major funding source for crime victim services.
