U.S. Department of Homeland Security: Human Trafficking

The Department of Homeland Security is committed to combating the global crime of human trafficking. Through public outreach, victim protection, and law enforcement training, the Department works diligently to prevent human trafficking before it occurs, to protect victims when it has occurred, and to minimize reoccurrence by conducting investigations to bring traffickers to justice.

U.S. Secret Service: Criminal Investigations

The Secret Service investigates crimes associated with financial institutions, including bank fraud, access device fraud, telecommunications and computer crimes, fraudulent government and commercial securities, and electronic funds transfer fraud.

Internet Crime Complaint Center

The Internet Crime Complaint Center allows users to file complaints online. Its website also offers statistics, scam alerts, and fraud prevention tips. The program is a partnership between the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the National White Collar Crime Center.

Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI)

The FBI is the principal investigative arm of the U.S. Department of Justice. Its mission is to protect the United States from terrorist and foreign intelligence activities; investigate violations of federal criminal law; and provide assistance to federal, state, local, and international agencies.

National Center for the Prosecution of Child Abuse

The Center serves as a central resource for training, expert legal assistance, court reform, and information on criminal child abuse investigations and prosecutions. The center is a program of the American Prosecutors Research Institute, a nonprofit research and program development resource for prosecutors at all levels of government.
